SOWN Server Upgrades
From SOWNWiki
SOWN makes sure that all the Servers it runs are kept up to date. As some of the servers have complex combinations of software applications, it is important bto plan operating system and other upgrades, well before these become unsupported.
Servers Scheduled for Upgrades
Here are the servers currently scheduled for upgrades in the next few months.
Backup2
- December 2018: Replace motherboard and power supply with more modern hardware.
- December 2018: Reinstall with Ubuntu 18.04 operating system and required software and configuration
Sown-gw
- December 2018/January 2019: Upgrade from Ubuntu 14.04 to Ubuntu 16.04.
Sown-gw2
- December 2018/January 2019: Upgrade Keepalived to the latest version supported by Ubuntu 16.04 to be compatible with Sown-gw after its OS upgrade
Sown-auth2
- January 2019: Upgrade from Ubuntu 14.40 to Ubuntu 16.04.
