Node Firmware
From SOWNWiki
This project aims to produce a firmware using OpenWRT (currently Designated Driver) that with only minor modifications can be deployed on a wide range of hardware, including:
- Meraki Mini (inc. Meraki Mini Outdoor)
- OpenMesh OM1P / MR3201A
- OpenMesh OM2P
- OpenMesh MR500
- GL.iNet AR150
- GL.iNet GL-MiFi
- TP-Link Archer C7
- PC Engines ALIX 2C2 (with various Mini PCIe wireless cards)
- PC Engines ALIX 2D3 (with various Mini PCIe wireless cards)
- PC Engines APU1C (with various Mini PCIe wireless cards)
This project ties into the Sown Node Setup project to provide a system for setting up nodes when they are first deployed, so that the node can configure its individual VPN tunnel and other configuration options, such as node hostname, SSIDs, wireless channels, etc.
This project also ties closely into the OpenWRT Packages project that produces packages that make up this firmware and can be upgraded or new packages developed to provide additional node functionality
