The GL iNet MT300A is almost as hackable an OpenWRT router as the AR150. However, the way it organise its wired network interfaces makes things more complicated, as it uses a virtual switch platform which means that the interfaces are actually VLANs rather than interfaces.
It runs Barrier Breaker by default, but should be possible to get Designated Driver on it fairly easily.
Gaining Console Access
Console access is on UDP port 6666. There is a script to do this.
To get into the bootloader, press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds at startup.
In actual fact there are 3 modes:
- Hold reset for 5 seconds - Factory reset
- Hold reset for 8 seconds - Serial console
- Hold reset for 10 seconds - Network console
