hashlimit has been superseded by Netfilter.

hashlimit is an IP Tables module which allows limits to be placed on the traffic sent to a certain IP address, a range of addresses or a particular port. Rather than limiting bits per second, Hash limit limits the number of packets per second. This means that a program which sends larger packets will get more bandwidth than one that sends smaller packets.

hashlimit has been superseded by Netfilter, which is supported by OpenWRT.
