These are the settings I used and managed to get my phone to connect via the SOWN network.
Mostly it's the default, with the server and username put in the relevant places
Things you will need:
- Nokia S60 phone
- SOWN VoIP username
- SOWN VoIP password

VoIP Setup
Setup SIP Profile
- Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> SIP settings
- Add new -> Use default profile
- Profile name: SOWN VoIP
- Service Profile: IETF
- Default access point: [SOWN]-HOME
- Public user name: sip:<username>@dev.sown.org.uk
- Use compression: No
- Registration: When Needed
- Use Security: No
- Proxy Server
- Proxy server address: dev.sown.org.uk
- Realm: dev.sown.org.uk
- User name: <username>@dev.sown.org.uk
- Password: <voip password>
- Allow loose routing: Yes
- Transport type: Auto
- Port: 5060
- Registrar server
- Registrar serv. addr.: dev.sown.org.uk
- Realm: asterisk
- Username: <username>
- Password: <voip password>
- Transport type: Auto
- Port: 5060
Setup Internet tel. settings
- Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Connection -> Internet tel. settings
- Options -> New Profile -> sip:<username>@dev.sown.org.uk
- Name: SOWN
How to connect
- Menu -> Connect. -> Internet tel.
It should auto connect if you are in range of the access point you selected in the SIP profile
You should now be connected to sown! If you are an internet telephony symbol will appear near you battery indicator.
Making a call
- Dial the number as normal (do not press the green phone to dial)
- Options -> Call -> Internet call -> Select
Try 123. It is the talking clock.

Troubleshooting
Unfortunately Nokia phones do not give the most helpful error messages in the world. If you having problems, contact the committee who can follow the connection from the server side.
