Apache is used by SOWN as our web server of choice. The SOWN Website is hosted on the projects web server of the University of Southampton's School of Electronics and Computer Science. This is partly for integrity, and partly as our servers are located on the SOWN VLAN and are not accessible from the internet.
Captive portal software is installed on sown-auth and the login page is hosted there. sown-dev is the test bed of SOWN, and as such has a number of programs installed for that purpose, including Apache.
The SOWN Portal is currently shared between a few machines to depending on the location you are accessing it from. These include sown-nat, sown-auth and sown-dev.
